Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Is your real estate agent's commission fee flexible?
Answer: Yes. My commission rates can range from 5% to 6% to 6.5%. Some
homeowners perceive a low commission as a savings, however, a low rate can
deter agents from showing your home, so it may not be the best choice. I would
be happy to share with you an anlaysis of the advantages and disadvantages to
each of the above choices so that you can make the most informed decision.

Question: Should I buy before selling?
Answer: There are advantages to buying before selling, particularly if you have a specific property in mind, but there are also risks. In my experience approximately 75% of homeowners sell first and then buy.

Question: If another company tells me to list at a price $10,000 higher, shouldn't I list with them?
Answer: It depends. Are you choosing an agent on price rather than a realistic assessment? Too often, here is what can happen:
January - List $10,000 too high
Feburary - Agent phones you for a price reduction and wants to do an open house
March - Agent asks for another price reduction; your house is stale, buyers rarely look
April - You list with someone else
May - Your house sells! You receive less than you would have originally and went through 5 months of aggravation to do so.
